Where Do You Start When You’re Ready for Change?

Maybe your clothes don’t fit the way they used to.

Maybe your doctor scolded you and said you have to lose weight.

Maybe you were told that blood pressure, cholesterol, or another health marker means it’s time for medication.

Maybe you’re winded walking the dog or chasing your grandkids.

Or maybe even something as joyful as gardening leaves your back aching for days.

Whatever the reason, you’ve hit the point where you know: it’s time for a change.

But here’s the million-dollar question: Where do you start?

Step 1: Get Honest With Yourself

The first step is not about the gym, a fancy diet, or the latest gadget. It’s about being honest with yourself about where you are right now. No judgment—just truth. You can’t make a real plan for change if you’re not willing to look at your starting point.

Step 2: Set Intentions

Once you know where you are, you decide where you want to go. What’s your why? Is it energy, confidence, being medication-free, or keeping up with the people and activities you love? Intentions are the compass—you can’t get there without them.

Step 3: Live It Daily

Sounds simple, right? Set intentions, then live them out every day. Drink more water. Walk a little more. Eat food that fuels you. Go to bed earlier. These basics done consistently are what actually create change.

But here’s the truth: most people fall off when it gets hard. Life gets busy. Old habits creep in. Accountability fades.

Why Accountability Matters

This is where so many of us stumble. Trying to go it alone, starting and stopping over and over again, losing weeks, months—even years.

One of my clients just last week told me she was overwhelmed. She knew she needed to start, but had no idea how. Together, we stripped it down to the basics.

I set clear intentions with her, then followed up with text reminders, weekly check-ins, and fresh ideas to keep her momentum going. Guess what?

The results are already happening—because she has someone in her corner.

Your Next Step

Think about how much time you’ve already wasted starting and stopping.

What if this time you didn’t have to do it alone?

You don’t need someone forever—just someone to help you start, guide you when it gets tough, and keep you accountable until your habits stick.

That’s the difference between another failed attempt and finally making lasting change.

Maybe now is the time you decide to invest in yourself.
