The Grammy Tour Is Over. Now What?

For the first time in months, my suitcase is unpacked.

I'm home.

The Grammy Tour is officially over.

This summer took me thousands of miles from home, across the country and across the world. I spent time with all seven of my grandkids.

I carried babies and strollers.

I paddleboarded, rode horses, walked for hours, spent time with an 11-year-old who never stops moving, and chased a 16-year-old around a race track for four days.

There were also parts of this summer I never could have planned for.

Long days. Changed plans. Family who needed me.

Moments when being physically and emotionally strong mattered far more than anything I could do in a gym.

And somewhere along the way, something became very clear:

This is what I was training for.

Not the number on the scale.

Not the size of my jeans.

Not even the races and finish lines I've spent so many years training for.

I was training for my life.

I've been calling this Train & Transfer.

We train in the gym so we can transfer that strength into the things that matter outside of it.

This summer, I did a whole lot of transferring.

Now I'm home.

And it's time to get back to the train part.

The funny thing is, I don't know exactly what I'm training for next.

And maybe I don't need to.

More about that on Wednesday.
